Litewave Media’s newest feature film just wrapped filming in March 2024. The film titled, Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper stars media superstar Brock O’Hurn. Filming took place entirely in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties in Florida. Christian Cashmir, founder of Litewave Media directed and produced the film alongside Executive Producer/ Writer, Laurie Criego, and Producer Cameron Brumbelow. This Brock O’hurn movie filmed for 15 days in Florida and will continue post production in Pinellas County.
Mother Nature Movie films in Tampa Video studio, Litewave Media
The film mixes Romantic Comedy and Fantasy elements with Mother Nature traveling to Earth from Mount Olympus. Brock O’Hurn plays an unforgettable Zeus while Mother Nature is played by Kate Amundsen. The film also stars Danae Hays another social media star who brings the character of Bug Out Betty-Lou to the big screen.
Virtual Production LED Wall in Tampa Florida
“One of the exciting aspects of this film,” says Cashmir, “is that we were able to use virtual production in our LED studio facility to create the fantasy world of Mount Olympus.” The film crew also built an entire ancient greek sailing vessel in the studio as well. Cashmir continues, “We’re really excited about what this technology can do for mid-range and lower budget films, where we don’t have the budget to travel to far off places. It lets us create right here in our backyard.”
Keep a lookout for the Brock O’Hurn movie Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper coming later in 2024!

This month, Litewave Media opened the first St Petersburg FL LED wall for virtual production. By using this new virtual technology in combination with an LED video wall, production crews can film in a studio environment but with the benefit of virtual sets. The possibility to film in locations that were previously inaccessible due to travel restrictions, weather, etc are now available at the press of a button. This virtual production technology is replacing green screens for many visual effects scenes as it offers not only a more realistic look but can also simplify production.
St Petersburg FL LED Wall: Streamlining Video Production
How did virtual production find its way to Pinellas County? Tom Jordan of Full Frame Digital was using this technology in Atlanta for a variety of projects including a new Netflix series. The two companies teamed up and Full Frame partnered with Litewave Media to bring the LED video wall to Florida. Christian Cashmir founder of Litewave Media states: “This new technology is being used by many Hollywood films and high end brands. Bringing virtual production to St Petersburg Florida, I believe will draw more clients and more work for the entire film community here.” The studio already has plans to film scenes for two upcoming feature films as well as a luxury car commercial on the LED wall in the next few months.
The addition of this 2.6 Unilumen LED wall, which stands at 30′ x 15′, is a valuable inclusion to our Tampa Bay video studio. Our diverse client base will have the ability to enter new environments and worlds through the power of virtual production. Litewave Media is proud to offer this cutting-edge technology and is one of the only video studios in Florida with it available.
LED volume sound stages are notable for being used to film Star Wars television shows The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Virtual production studios can create alien landscapes without traveling to far-off destinations. With travel restrictions around the globe, LED studio technology has helped film crews continue to work. Crews can also be smaller and more efficient, ultimately saving time and money.
Litewave Media’s St Petersburg FL LED wall is powered by Unreal Engine and disguise servers. This technology can both generate virtual backgrounds or use plate shots to create realistic, in camera effects. The LED volume Stype camera tracking system uses real-time data to precisely synchronize the screen and the camera together. It is a fully gen-locked system which allows for precision frame-by-frame recording, even at double speeds.
The LED volume features four 4K outputs, 10-bit color RX, and a Quadro A5000 graphics card. It utilizes disguise XR workflow which allows for realtime set extension / AR overlay, camera color calibration, and lens calibration. In other words, the sky’s the limit with what you’ll be able to film in this virtual production studio space.
Computer-generated backgrounds are fully customizable and scalable. This enables precise scene matching between foreground and background. Imagine being at the beach without having to deal with sand or heat. Imagine being on Mount Everest but having a cappuccino machine down the hallway. We are excited to see what our clients and partners will dream up on the new LED volume in the years to come!
Another benefit of virtual production on an LED wall is the ability to shoot realistic car scenes. Plate shots can be loaded into the system and when displayed on the LED wall, simulate highly realistic lighting and motion. This method gives your team complete control over the environment and lighting. Virtual production eliminates the need to close down roads, hire police officers, and rent expensive process trailers. What’s not to love?
Filmed entirely on our St. Petersburg FL LED wall.

Hold onto your armor, Gears of War fans! Recently, Dave Bautista visited Litewave Media for a shoot for GEARS 5! It’s not everyday a Guardian of the Galaxy comes to hang and film on our Florida Sound Stage, and we were honored to host the project.
Our Tampa Bay video studio was used to film the trailer announcing Bautista as a playable character in the new GEARS 5 game!
Check out the behind-the-scenes video below and two announcement trailers featuring footage shot in our Tampa Video studio. See below!
Of course, only the live action content of Dave Bautista and the replica of his character’s in-game armor was shot in our studio. Also, the same people who made the Guardians of the Galaxy costumes built the armor Bautista wears in the video! The military case used in the video below was from a local St. Petersburg business as well! And most of the crew including the gaffer, photographer, makeup, stylists, production coordinator, etc were all local St. Petersburg and Tampa natives.
It was an honor to have the Guardians of the Galaxy star in our studio. And can’t wait to play the game!
Behind the Scenes of the GEARS 5 Shoot!
Additionally, our team coordinated the project and hired local crew for multiple departments. Namely in Grip and Electric, Costume, Audio, DIT, and Production! As we have done in the past for companies like Bic/Koozie‘s “The Original Chill” and a Culver’s National TV spots.
Along with our studio and office space, our client used our Lighting Grip Van and a variety of Camera Equipment from us. These included our ARRI SkyPanels, Quasars, hazers, and more in our lighting package.

For filming the Director of Photography used our ARRI Alexa Mini for the project. Some of our favorite cinema lenses: the Cooke Anamorphic Special Flare lens set was also added to the package.

Overall, we’re very grateful this opportunity came knocking on our door. We cannot wait to see Bautista in GEARS 5!

Happy Holidays! Litewave Media has been busy producing our new holiday feature film, Elfette Saves Christmas, in sunny Tampa Bay, Florida! The independent film stars award-winning actor and star of “The Blind Side,” Quinton Aaron!
Just last week Elfette Saves Christmas was released nationwide! DVDs can be found in Wal-marts all across the country. It’s also available online at iTunes, Amazon, Target, VUDU and Best Buy! Grab a copy here on Amazon.
Elfette Saves Christmas is a family feature film about Elfette, a wrapping paper designer in Santa’s workshop, who while on vacation in Florida, must travel to New York City to save Santa Claus (Quinton Aaron) from the clutches of a profit hungry Mafia boss, Little Georgie (George Vricos). With Little Georgie and Joytech, an evil toy corporation, in cahoots, Christmas and Santa’s workshop are frozen with only Elfette left to save them.
Litewave Media founder, Christian Cashmir, wrote, produced, and directed Elfette Saves Christmas, along with an amazing team of local Tampa film crew and actors from the St. Petersburg area as well. The film was shot on our ARRI Alexa Mini camera package along with our Canon CN-E prime lenses and the Fujinon Cabrio 20-120mm lens.
Check out the ABC news story on Elfette Saves Christmas and the film festival, with actor George Vricos and director/writer, Christian Cashmir featured in the segment.
Behind the Scenes of Elfette Saves Christmas
The Litewave Media film crew shot the majority of the film right in the heart of Pinellas County and St. Petersburg, Florida. But, Elfette’s story brought our cast and crew all over Tampa Bay and even to New York City for 3 days where the crew filmed in Central Park, the New York Library, and Times Square!
Our camera crew was battling time and weather for a sequence of interior scenes at Lake Eagle Park on our first day of production. With Quinton in costume, as Santa, the team prepared for a 15 plus hour day!
Next, on production day two, we filmed a scene with Elfette and Sparkle (Aléa Figueroa) on Pass-a-Grille Beach in St. Petersburg, FL. Then, for day three, we went back to Eagle Lake Park to complete the climactic ending, and the producers through a little impromptu Christmas celebration for the cast and crew!
Even elves go on vacation! (BTS from the 2nd day of production on Pass-A-Grille Beach, FL.)
Keep an eye out on our YouTube Channel Film Jams for more Elfette BTS videos! There’s plenty more coming!
Elfette Saves Christmas In the News
Bay News 9 released a story in December 2019 on Elfette, and the local community has really gotten behind the film to support it.
In the final days of production, the Elfette Saves Christmas team hunkered down overnight in the restaurant, De Sesto Italiano, in Pinellas Park. That night, the crew filmed multiple scenes with Elfette, Mob boss Little Georgie, and another villain, Penelope Coalbottom (played by Sheli Sanders).
Director Christian Cashmir rehearses with actors, Georgie Vricos and Sheli Sanders, (De Sesto’s in Pinellas County)
Also available on-demand: iTunes, VUDU, and most other streaming services. And in-store at Wal-mart.

The Litewave Media team recently had the chance to work with the Bic/Koozie brand. We helped them to create a national branding video commercial for their new line of Koozie products. Our production company produced and filmed this Tampa commercial video over the course of two days. The first day took place at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs, Florida to provide a camping and barbecue setting. The second day the video crew filmed at a luxurious house in Tampa for a pool hangout scene with waterfall and grotto on site!

Tampa Commercial Video for Koozie Filmed on ARRI Alexa Mini
Since we love the techy film details, here’s the scoop…this Tampa commercial video was shot on the ARRI Alexa Mini camera at 48fps (slow motion) using Canon CN-E Cinema Primes lenses. It was primarily filmed on a Dana Dolly and the Freefly Movi Pro gimbal to give the shots movement and a cinematic look to the footage.
Sean Keller was one of the DPs for the Koozie commercial
Koozie is known for their beverages sleeves that keep drinks cold (or hot). They reached out to Litewave Media to make a new commercial video to showcase their new products. Their new line of outdoor products launches in 2019 and will include coolers, backpacks, and camping gear. The commercial was filmed completely in Tarpon Springs, FL and Tampa, Florida.
Director Christian Cashmir from Litewave Media with the Koozie creative team
Christian Cashmir directed and produced the spot, while Sean Keller and Scott Sullivan worked as the cinematographers. Lucas Schatzberg edited. We also had many other members of our Litewave Media team on board including Maggie Hudak on production design, Nikki Stefansic on Makeup, and Andrew Ortoski as gaffer. The Litewave Media lighting and grip truck was working on this shoot as well.
The Litewave Media video crew watches on a SmallHD 702 Monitor as the footage is filmed
The video incorporates slow motion footage with shots of friends camping and hanging out at the pool to create a nostalgic outdoorsy feel for Koozie’s new products.
Scott Sullivan, DP for the second day of filming, captures the scene on the Movi Pro Gimbal.
“This fantastic cast and crew who helped behind the scenes really brought this video to life. Definitely one of the most fun shoots we’ve done in the last year!” Cashmir said about the shoot.

One of the latest endeavors of our St. Petersburg production company was to help film interviews for the new season of the TLC show “The Little Couple.” Litewave Media’s St. Petersburg TV production team was approached by TLC to build a set for the show in our video studio, as well as film the interviews for the current season, which is airing right now. We had a blast working on the show, and look forward to seeing the rest of the season!

“The Little Couple” started in 2009 following the popular show “Little People.” The show follows a couple, Bill Klein and Jen Arnold, who are both under 4 feet tall and their adopted children, Will and Zoey. The show is quite popular, seeing as they’re currently on their 13th season! Getting to meet the stars of the show is just one of the perks of being on set for this fun shoot. Our St. Petersburg TV production company is currently working on a new series locally here in Pinellas County and always looking to partner on new film and TV projects. The Litewave Media/Film Jams team at the awards ceremony for the 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project, a nation-wide challenge, asks local filmmakers to completely make a short film in only 48 hours. It comes with specific required elements so that judges know the film was made within the allotted time. This year, the required elements were a character named Sam or Sally Turnbucket (a city employee), the line of dialogue “Who wants to know?”, and a prop, a lamp. In addition to this, each team also gets a randomly assigned genre, ours was Disaster Film.
Co-Directors Josh Noftz and Christian Cashmir review some green screen footage during the 48 Hour Film Project
Our film was made in collaboration with our YouTube Webseries: Film Jams, which is a weekly show on filmmaking. The webseries teaches general tips and advice on filmmaking. Our team was proud and honoreds to win the 48 Hour Film Project, and from here, our film competes at the national level at Filmapalooza in March 2019. We have uploaded our film online as well as a behind-the-scenes look into making a 48 hour film. Give us a like and subscribe if you like our content on YouTube and want to see more filmmaking fun!

What happens when Spider-Man crosses paths with a Lady Gaga playlist in our Tampa video production studio? This year’s Comic Con TV commercials of course! For the last five years, our Tampa vIdeo company, Litewave Media has had the pleasure of working with the team behind one of the largest Comic Con franchises in the country to produce TV commercials and YouTube spots.
This year, our production company produced spots for San Francisco Comic Con, Atlanta Comic Con, Indiana Comic Con, Michigan Comic Con, and of course, Tampa Comic Con. The commercials will begin airing this March through the end of 2018. The one and only Spider-Man made an appearance and brought with him an arsenal of toys and collectibles for the spots.
Got comics? Spidey strikes a pose on our Tampa video studio floor.
The 30 second TV spots as well as shorter commercial segments for YouTube were filmed on our ARRI Alexa Mini camera in 4k with Canon lenses. The spot was lit with our ARRI Skypanel s60 as well as a few Litepanel Astras, and our Altman Spectra 100 cyc lights. Check out our Tampa grip and lighting rental page for more info on our lighting packages.
Director, Christian Cashmir, films on our ARRI Alexa Mini while Spidey gets into character for his dancing scene.
Our Tampa video crew had a blast spending the day with the web-slinging superhero. With shooting wrapped, post production and editing of the project took place in one of our 4k Tampa video editing suites. To finish off the spot in true Comic Con fashion, our own Christian Cashmir composed a Lady Gaga-inspired song just for the commercials.
Comics, action figures, trading cards, and of course Spidey…just another day at the office here at Litewave Media!
We had a great time on this project and look forward to doing it again next year! In the mean time, check out the first commercial for Indiana Comic Con right here!

Back in August 2017, our St. Petersburg video production crew at Litewave Media teamed up for our 8th year taking part in the 48 Hour Film Project. The competition started in 2001 and has had more than 900 competitions take place around the globe. Teams spend two sleepless nights together writing, producing, editing and scoring a 4-7 minute movie in hopes of winning their city’s Best Film. Those Best Film winners from 130 participating cities around the world go on to Filmapalooza where they compete for the international title of Best Film. Litewave Media’s team has been lucky enough to win the competition (Tampa/St. Pete) in both 2012 and 2016!
Kelly slates the next scene while David, our Monk gets into character.
The rules are simple: each team must include a specific character, line of dialogue and prop as chosen by the festival. The weekend kicks off with a representative from each team drawing their genre from a hat. This year our team drew the “Sports” genre.
The Litewave Media cast and crew shot through the night as our ping pong players perfected their skills.
“You really need to look at what you have available around you” said Cashmir, founder of Litewave Media, “and we just so happen to have a fancy ping pong table right here in our St. Petersburg video studio!” Using the table as inspiration along with a lot of caffeine and snacks, the team brainstormed and worked their way into a script for our Sports-themed film.
