Litewave Media is excited to add new HMI lighting to our Tampa grip truck and lighting equipment rental packages. Our video production company has just added the K5600 Joker-Bug 800 HMI kit to our lighting arsenal which is a powerful daylight balanced fixture. If you are looking for a Tampa HMI lighting rental or Tampa Joker 800 rental give us a call today.
Litewave Media’s new lighting addition, K5600 Joker-Bug 800 kit with accessories
The Joker 800 has the ability to produce 50% more light than other daylight fixtures, including the Joker 1200. The light is small and light (it only weights 38lbs!) which makes it perfect for on-location lighting and traveling. While the many 1200 watt fixtures takes an entire circuit to power, the Joker 800 only draws 11 Amps!

The Joker 800 has many benefits of smaller lights, but with the power of larger fixtures, which has made the K5600 Joker-Bug 800 an industry standard HMI light and a perfect addition to our Tampa lighting rental. We look forward to using it on many shoots to come and renting it out to anyone looking to add a little extra punch to their productions!

I’ve been waiting for a girl… or “opportunity” like this… to come into my life. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! The new year just started, but Litewave Media has been busy with some incredible new Tampa video productions this year. Our latest video shoot was no exception, when we got the opportunity to film with the classic rock band Foreigner.
We were honored when the L.A. based Incite Media hired our Tampa video production company to film a live performance by the band Foreigner for ProFlower’s new Valentine’s Day promotion. Foreigner is one of the world’s best selling bands of all time, having sold more than 80 million records around the globe! They are the king of love songs which made them a perfect partner for ProFlower’s new bouquet. The promotion is called the Hot Blooded Bouquet inspired by the band’s hit song, “Hot Blooded”.
Litewave Media’s Tampa camera crew captures the live performance from Foreigner
The performance took place at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota. Tickets for the show were sold out. People from all over the country traveled to Sarasota to see the famous band perform their greatest hits, such as Hot Blooded, Juke Box Hero, Waiting for a Girl like You, Feels Like the First Time and I Want to Know What Love Is. As part of the ProFlower’s promotion, everyone in the entire audience received a rose when they came into the venue. When Foreigner sang their last song, Hot Blooded, two cannons on either side of the stage launched rose pedals into the audience for an ultimate climax to the show.
Lead singer Kelly Hansen passionately performs the band’s classic songs
Before the incredible performance by the band, our video production team had the unique opportunity to meet the lead singer Kelly Hansen and original songwriter/lead guitarist Mick Jones for a private interview. Our film crew brought our Tampa grip truck to set up the lighting which included Kino Flos Diva lights, LED lights and a variety of Tampa video equipment to get the perfect interview look.

Christian Cashmir was director of photography and operated a Canon C100 camera, Bryan Coward filmed with a second Canon C100 while Harold “Pinky” Hood served as grip and also did a bit of camera work on a Canon 5D mark III during the concert. Eric Wolfson from Incite Media produced the video production.

ProFlowers released the promotional video on their official website this week, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Do you want to know what love is? Check out the video below!
Our Tampa video crew was honored to meet the legendary band and extremely grateful for the opportunity to hang out with its members backstage. Our Litewave Media founder, Christian, has always been a huge Foreigner fan and owns their entire music collection on vinyl. He was lucky to get one of his Foreigner records, Headgames, signed by Mick Jones, lead guitar/songwriter.

Litewave Media loves comedy. We’ve always tried to incorporate humor into our work since we started over 10 years ago; and so, it was an absolute joy to work with one of comedy’s greats last month, Elayne Boosler.
Elayne is a legendary female comedian who has been in the business for almost 40 years. In 1986, she changed the comedy industry when she became the first female comedian to get her own one-hour comedy special on cable. She has written and hosted several awards shows including the Daytime Emmys and the Cable ACE awards. She has also been a guest for a variety of Late Night shows. Our Tampa video production company was extremely excited when the manager of comedian Elayne Boosler hired Litewave Media to film Elayne’s new stand-up comedy act.

The live event took place at the historic theater inside Delray Beach’s Center for the Arts. The event was sold out, and people from around the country came to see Elayne perform. OurTampa video production crew scouted the location a week earlier to map out camera positions and assess the lighting setup. On Jan 27th, our team arrived early to Delray Beach, Florida in the morning to set up the equipment for the live show. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet Elayne before her performance and review the plan of action. And once she went on, the crowd did not stop laughing for the next hour as she delivered a flawless performance!
Litewave Media films Elayne performing her live stand-up comedy act
The live comedy performance was filmed with 5 broadcast HD cameras from our array Tampa video equipment. Christian Cashmir was the director of photography and operated a Panasonic HPX-170 video camera that was mounted on Litewave Media’s EZ-FX camera jib. Kenny Strawn worked the Panasonic HPX-500 camera to get all the close up shots of Elayne. John Jones went hand-held and filmed a variety of creative angles from the performance. Brandon Hyde shot with an HVX-200 camera to cover the wide shots of the comedy act and Malachi Cull also operated another HVX-200 camera from the balcony. Harold “Pinky” Hood acted as grip and assistant for the shoot. Mike Barnitt captured sound on 6 discreet channels for optimum surround sound mixing. The footage was sent off to David Avallone, Elayne’s longtime editor and producer, to edit the special together in Los Angeles, CA.
Elayne Boosler and Litewave Media founder Christian Schwier
The stand-up comedy show will be edited into a DVD, and she hopes to air it on premium cable and on-demand in the near future. Litewave Media was extremely honored to film with Elayne and we wish her all the best for the rest of her tour. Our crew had a blast traveling to Delray Beach, Florida, and we hope Elayne comes back to Florida soon to perform again (maybe even to Tampa?!)

A sassy girl selling a toilet? A barbarian parting ways with his favorite codpiece…yes, read on!
Over the years, Litewave Media has enjoyed producing fun comedy videos, from our feature film Jules Dongu Saves the World, to our Binaca TV Commercials, Fantastics Sams TV Commercials, and many others. And so when Offerdat founder, Richard Wakeel came to our Tampa video company looking to produce a unique, fun, and quirky commercial to market his new mobile app, a lasting partnership was formed. Litewave Media founder recalls, “I remember when Richard walked in our doors. It felt like we were brothers from another time. We instantly clicked and our ideas just kept building together. This is one of the most fun projects we’ve ever worked on.”

Offerdat offers a modern alternative for online classifieds and is available for both iOS and Android. Our Tampa Video Production Company scripted the video with Jeff and Christian co-writing the script along with Richard and his team. A number of top notch actors were hired, and filming took place at Brocante, an antique warehouse in St. Petersburg, FL. Our Tampa video crew found many unique items at the warehouse that were featured in the commercial.
Actors Lexi and Josh with our Litewave Media grip, Pinky
Our film crew arrived early in the morning to the location with our Tampa grip truck and Tampa production equipment. Christian directed and DP’d the shoot. Our gaffer, John Jones, and grip, Harold “Pinky” Hood, set up lighting. Jeff Zampino worked as script supervisor while Ana Christina Sanchez was production assistant. Mike Barnett was in charge of audio. Malachi Cull was behind-the-scenes video camera, and Maylin Morera was on-set photographer.
Litewave Media crew Pinky, John and Christian, Offerdat founder Richard and actors Josh and Linda
Our Tampa production crew filmed a variety of off-the-wall scenes, including a scenario where Richard (Offerdat founder) buys a used cod-piece from a barbarian, played by Josh Todd. The most challenging scene was the party scene that incorporated 15 actors and extravagant props.
Our Tampa commercial crew films the party scene
Our Tampa post production company edited the commercial video for Offerdat. Jordan Conely and Christian Cashmir composed the Offerdat theme song (feature at the end of the commercial) with both of the writers recording vocals and instruments at our Tampa recording studio. Jordan mixed and mastered the track. Check out the commercial below!
Our post production team also edited a “Don’t show yo mama” director’s cut version of the Tampa web commercial. Check out the video below to see why! Let us know which version you like better on our Facebook page.
The Litewave Media team had a blast filming Offerdat’s video commercial in Tampa, Florida and we are excited to share this fun project. Why waste your time selling stuff through a yard sale, or Craigslist when you can just snap a picture, price it and sell it with Offerdat!?

Happy 2015! We hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far. A common New Years’ resolution is to get back into shape, after the holidays and so the Litewave Media film team decided to start working on this goal with the help of Renegade Soccer’s Training Videos. Our Tampa video production company filmed a soccer training DVD series with co-founders Billy and J.R. from Renegade Soccer. We filmed a total of 12 discs with content that included ball technique tutorials as well as fitness training with some top soccer athletes from around the country.
Our production crew films the Renegade Soccer Fitness Training Videos at our Tampa video studio
The soccer workouts and exercises were filmed at our Tampa video production studio. We used three Panasonic P2 video cameras to get a variety of angles on the talent. We also used our 10 foot EZ FX Jib to incorporate more dynamic shots. To light the studio, we used a combination of Kino Flo lights and our new state-of-the-art Altman LED Cyc lights which have the ability to change colors without the use of gel. The soccer workout team decided to use a blue look to unify the branding of the DVD.
Renegade Soccer co-founders, Billy and J.R, lead the training video
Christian (Litewave Media founder) operated the first camera which was mounted on the jib, Kenny Strawn was in charge of the second camera and Harold “Pinky” Hood worked the third camera handheld. Jeff Zampino acted as script supervisor and Mike Barnett captured audio. Ana Christina Sanchez worked as production assistant. It was a long three days of soccer workouts, but we captured a lot of great footage. At the end of the shoot our Tampa production crew even got to try the workout…(we didn’t last very long, but it was fun!)
Ana, Jeff and Pinky get to try out the soccer training with Billy…(don’t worry they’re not on the DVD!)
Our Tampa post production company edited the DVD for Renegade Soccer, which will be available later this year for purchase. The Litewave Media crew will keep working hard and hopefully make lots of “goals” this year…we hope to make Pelé proud!

It’s been an exciting year for Litewave Media. We’ve produced a number of music videos, TV commercials, an independent film, and recently our Tampa video production company had the opportunity to film a series of corporate videos with one of the largest tech companies in the world, Microsoft. We were honored when our long-time client RBD entrusted us with filming and editing the video portion of their online training materials. The Litewave Media team filmed a series of over 30 training videos for the multinational company.

Litewave Media was honored to film again with our long time clients and friends at Health-e-Systems. Our Tampa video production company has filmed several projects for Health-e-Systems over the last few years and their latest project was a blast to produce. We filmed the risk scenario corporate video in two days and in 5 different locations all around Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. The video just premiered last week at a medical convention in Las Vegas.
Josh and George get ready to film. Mike readies the audio.
Our film crew arrived early to the first location with our Tampa grip truck. We set up the lighting and filmed a variety of scenes, including a wrestling scene and a hunting scene. One of the most challenging scenes was a bar fight sequence.
Christian films the wrestling scene
We hired 4 time American Ninja Warrior contestant, Christopher “Shinobi” Poli, to choreograph the bar scene. In order to create a realistic fight, our Tampa production company brought breakaway beer bottles. It took a few takes to get the timing right, but with Christopher’s choreography and the actors’ dedication, the scene went smoothly.
Actor George Vricos rehearses the bottle smash sequence
After the two days of shooting, the Litewave Media team went back to the studio to record the additional dialogue from the script in our Tampa Recording Studio.

Our Tampa photography studio was also used to create a doctor’s office scene. Director/ Director of Photography Christian Cashmir says, “this project was unique as our team incorporated video, photography and voice-over to create the finished project.”

Health-e-Systems marketing director, Jill Knight, along with our Tampa post production company spent a number of long days editing the video. Sound design, color correction and editing were all finished at Litewave Media’s HD/4K editing suite.

The Phantom 2 video drone has changed the aerial video industry enabling production companies to get amazing aerial video footage and photography at a fraction of the cost of years passed. Litewave Media founder Christian Schwier says, “We love the Phantom 2 Quadcopter. It’s easy to use, affordable, and accessible for filmmakers including us. Our clients love the unique shots we are able to achieve too. We’re really excited about where aerial video is heading.”

Pinky and Nick set up the jib
We’ve enjoyed filming with the video drone, and we’ve also been able to play with one of our other new toys this fall, the 10 foot EZ FX Jib. We captured a variety of angles for the Health-e-Systems corporate video with the jib as well as the drone, to give the editors lots of footage and angles to cut the video together with.

Our Tampa video production company had the opportunity to work with some amazing musicians this year. We filmed multi-Grammy award-winning jazz pianist Chick Corea last April for a live multi-cast and this month we had the incredible opportunity to film Justin Hayward lead singer of legendary classic rock band The Moody Blues for a PBS special. The special will be televised in the next few months. The project was directed by LA based documentary filmmaker and musician David Minasian, who came to Litewave Media for his Tampa video crew and Production Coordinating.

Our Tampa Video Production Company had the great opportunity to films this year’s Tampa Bay Comic-Con. The 2014 Comic-Con was held at The Tampa Convention Center from August 2nd – 4th. Comic-Con is an event that celebrates comic books, movies, anime, TV shows, and video games. Cosplay enthusiasts surrounded the convention. At the end of the day there was a costume contest where people got the opportunity to show their personal creations to an audience and a panel of judges. Our Tampa video company filmed the contest, which had range of costumes: from TV shows like Game of Thrones and Doctor Who, to comic book characters like X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy, and even hit movies like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. The contest had incredible costumes and it was a hard choice for the judges to pick the winners, but the cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy won the grand prize.
Costume Contest 2nd Place Winner: Warhammer 40K Space Marine
The convention always brings celebrity guests from popular TV shows and movies. This year, Comic-Con brought two fan-favorites from popular fantasy show Game of Thrones, Richard Madden and Pedro Pascal. Other guests included Caity Lotz who plays the Black Canary on Arrow, Brighton Sharbino and Kyla Kenedy from the popular zombie show The Walking Dead. John Rhys-Davies from the blockbuster movies The Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones, and Evan Peters from X-Men Days of Future Past also attended.

Celebrity host and Nickelodeon alum Marc Summers made his first Comic-Con appearance ever. He had the opportunity to reprise his popular Nickelodeon game show, Double Dare, with a Comic-Con exclusive called Nerdy Family Double Dare. Families competed to win amazing prizes including visiting a live taping of the popular sit-com The Big Bang Theory and a 4-night cruise vacation. Our corporate video production company enjoyed filming the competition and had fun hanging out with Marc Summers.
