The main differences are the Amira is a shoulder-style camera, and it also cannot record 4:3 Anamorphic like the Alexa Mini. How to Swap EF to PL Mount on ARRI Amira

If you’re looking to change an EF mount to a PL mount on the ARRI Amira when you’re on set, it’s a farily simple process. It takes less than 5 minutes. Having a user-changeable mount makes the Amira really versatile as you can use popular EF lenses like our Canon CN-E primes as well as standard Canon photography lenses on the camera. Film Shot on ARRI Amira in 4K

If you’d like to see some ARRI Amira sample footage in 4K, our team along with Film Jams, shot this short film. We used the Canon CN-E Cinema Prime lenses and filmed in Pro Res 4444. What impressed us about the Amira is how clean the darker areas and shadows were in the image. The Amira sensor holds up to 14 stops of dynamic range, and this really gives the camera a cinematic look that we love.
