Filming With the SmallRig Mini Matte Box

The SmallRig Mini Matte Box rental that we offer at Litewave Media is an uncomplicated matte box option for smaller lenses and camera setups. It works best with small mirrorless cameras or DSLRs such as the Sony a7S III or the Canon EOS R. It accepts multiple 4 x 5.65″ filter and comes with one filter tray, and also accepts one circular filter with a tray. The SmallRig Matte Box kit comes with four adapter rings to attach directly to your lenses (82mm, 77mm, 72mm, and 67mm). It also includes a top flag and a 15mm rod clamp. The mini matte box has 1/4″-20 threads for additional accessories such as a microphone or small lights. It’s very lightweight, compact, and user-friendly. The SmallRig Mini Matte Box works best with our Canon L Lenses and the Rokinon Cine DS lenses that we have in stock.

Matte boxes are useful camera accessories for blocking out unwanted light and reflections and for using cinematic filters in your films. They also help the camera handle contrast better and are must-have tools for outdoor shooting.
