Filming With the Laowa 24mm Macro Probe Lens

Our Laowa 24mm macro probe lens rental is one of our more unique lenses at Litewave Media’s camera rental house in St. Petersburg, Florida. Its strange design allows it to be put into extremely tiny spaces to get some truly unique shots. As a macro lens, it works best with up close shooting, with a minimum 1.5′ focusing distance, and 0.8” minimum working distance. It also provides a 2:1 maximum magnification. The lens itself is 1.3′ long, allowing distance between you and the subject.

The manual focus control permits focusing from 1.5′ to infinity, and the front of the lens also has a built-in LED light ring to aid in dark spaces. The front portion of the lens is also waterproof. The shape of the lens produces a fish-eye perspective look. This lens would be a great addition to a number of our camera options, such as the Canon EOS R.
