Litewave Media Competes in LA at Filmapalooza!

Our Tampa, Florida video production company recently had the pleasure of flying out to Los Angeles for the 2013 Filmapalooza. The film that our team created called “F” is a short film that won the local Tampa/St. Petersburg title of Best Film. As part of the awards we got to compete with over 120 teams from around the world from March 7th – 10th in LA at Filmapalooza.

Over the course of the week our St. Petersburg video production studio learned from mentors in the industry as well as viewed the screenings of the other films. Screenings took place at the famous Chinese Grauman’s Theater right in the heart of Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd.

Some highlights from the trip include a pitch session with the Saw series producer Dan Heffner, and a keynote speech with film director Dennis Dugan [Happy Gilmour, Grownups, Problem Child, etc.]. “It was a dream come true to hear Dennis speak,” says Christian Schwier, director of “F”, and founder of Litewave Media, “we were able to chat with him after the keynote and get some pointers on filmmaking. It was an incredible experience.”

After several months of post production, the music video for “Dirty Blue Jeans” has been released by our Tampa video company. Here’s the original blog about the music video from May 3, 2012!

Litewave Media’s Tampa video crew headed to Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida to film the music video for Erin Cosgrove’s new single, “Dirty Blue Jeans.”  This high end music video production will support the band’s efforts to help the single go viral.

Litewave Media the leading innovative video production company, took a Tampa production crew of twelve, including lighting techs, camera, Jib, and Dolly operators, and production assistants to the famous Florida state park known for its ancient cypress oaks.  The video was filmed on three Canon 7D cameras using Canon L series lenses, which provided stellar quality and pushed the optical envelope.

The flora and fauna at Weeki Wachee provided the perfect backdrop for the country-crossover single. Getting the perfect shots and right angles was a breeze with Kessler Crane’s motorized slider. Add in the Steadicam, Varizoom Quick Jib and a number of DSLR shoulder rigs and the result is clear, crisp footage that will create a video worthy of an MTV premier.

Editing is scheduled this month at Litewave Media video production studios in St. Petersburg, Florida. Using Final Cut Pro and After Effects, the team will craft the perfect video to accompany the pop country song that Erin recorded earlier this year at Tampa’s premier recording studio, Litewave Media. The music video and single will be available in June 2012 on iTunes.

Litewave Media Films Gospel Music Concert in Tampa

On Saturday, May 5th, Litewave Media’s Tampa film crew recorded a live three-hour concert performed by local gospel group Cepeda McKay and No Limits. The band has been uplifting audiences in Tampa and across the country with their original compositions and signature sound since 2002.

Cepeda McKay and No Limits rocks the house.

A packed house enjoyed the concert at the beautiful new First Baptist Church of Progress Village near Tampa, Florida.  Five cameras—two Panasonic HVX-200s, two Canon 7Ds and a Canon 5D— filmed the concert simultaneously, capturing the members of Cepeda McKay and No Limits, along with the live band and dancers performing with them.

Our Tampa video production company arrived early to plan the camera angles and set up film equipment, which included a 20-foot CamMate jib system. The jib allowed the video team to capture sweeping overhead shots of the concert as well as the audience that was grooving in the aisles to the catchy songs.

Litewave Media’s Tampa film crew included: CamMate Crane operator, Andrew Ortoski; camera operators Jamie Parslow, Ryan Zarra, Evan Zissimopulos; and Director of Photography, Christian Schwier.

Andrew and Jamie, members of Litewave Media’s Tampa video production crew, set up the CamMate jib to film the Cepeda McKay and No Limits concert.

Preliminary editing is scheduled to begin next week at Litewave Media’s post production studio in Tampa, Florida. Using Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects, our Tampa post production team will craft a professional concert DVD that the band will then use to promote their music and ministry.

Cepeda McKay and No Limits shares their uplifting music all over the world.
